Iikaisskini Indigenous Studies Scholarship

The Iikaisskini Indigenous Studies Scholarship honours Dr. Leroy Little Bear (BASc (BA) '72, DASc '04), a founding member of the department and the University’s inaugural Vice‑Provost of Iniskim Indigenous Relations. 

Dr. Little Bear was instrumental in establishing Canada’s first Native American Studies department (now Indigenous Studies) at the University of Lethbridge and served as chair of the department for 21 years in the Faculty of Arts & Science.
