Presentation title: Effect of Lipopolysaccharide and Green Tea Extract on BJ-5ta Skin Fibroblast Wound Healing
Abstract: This project investigates the effects of Lipopolysaccharide(LPS) and Green Tea on Wound healing using the cell line BJ-5ta. This is an immortalized skin fibroblast cell line. LPS is a Pathogen-Associated Molecular Pattern(PAMP) that causes an inflammatory response, whereas Green tea is an anti-inflammatory and should have the opposite effects on cells. With this study we looked at how these two substances affect wound healing. It was hypothesized that the LPS would slow wound healing and Green Tea would support it. The ultimate goal was to see what would happen when LPS and Green Tea were co-treated on the cells.
