Environmental Monitoring

Measuring Environmental Conditions Across Air, Water, Soil and Atmosphere

i4Geo maintains a suite of field instrumentation for collecting environmental and meteorological observations across a range of research settings.

Our environmental monitoring capabilities can support field campaigns, long-term monitoring, validation of remote sensing observations, and interdisciplinary research involving atmospheric, hydrological, terrestrial, and aquatic environments.

Discuss an Environmental Monitoring Project

Environmental Monitoring Capabilities
weather

Weather & Atmospheric Monitoring

Monitor meteorological and atmospheric conditions to support environmental research, field campaigns, and remote sensing studies.

radiation

Radiation & Energy Measurements

Measure incoming and outgoing radiation to support studies of surface energy balance, vegetation, climate, and land-atmosphere interactions.

water

Water & Aquatic Monitoring

Collect field measurements that support investigations of water bodies, water quality, and aquatic environments.

soil

Soil & Terrestrial Monitoring

Collect field-based measurements of soil conditions to complement environmental and remote sensing datasets.

R.M. Young 81000 3-Axis Ultrasonic Anemometer

Wind speed & direction • 3D airflow • Atmospheric research • Micrometeorology • Turbulence studies

The Model 81000 is a three-axis ultrasonic anemometer designed for high-resolution measurement of horizontal and vertical wind. With no moving parts and a fast response, it supports atmospheric, micrometeorological, turbulence, and environmental monitoring applications.

Kipp & Zonen CNR 2 Net Radiometer

Solar irradiance • Meteorological monitoring • Energy-balance studies • Environmental research

It separately measures net short-wave solar radiation (300–2800 nm) and long-wave radiation (4.5–42 μm), making it useful for surface-energy balance, meteorology, climatology, hydrology and environmental field studies.
