ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN NOW - Sky Glabush Speaks November 3rd, 2014 at 6pm

“My work has often explored the field of architecture and social space. In 2000 I moved to Amsterdam and began a series of paintings that examined the consequences of modernity as it related both the the aesthetic field of painting but also to social design.  My goal was to examine the disparity between the promises of modernity and the current difficulties facing large-scale housing projects .

ART NOW - Sky Glabush Speaks November 3rd, 2014 at Noon

“My most recent work has explored the relationship of modernity to structures that buttress and frame a sense of the self. In 2009 I exhibited a series drawings paintings and sculptures at MKG127 in Toronto that charted the polarities of hippy culture, recovery and religion and questioned the role of the “the spiritual in art.” My most recent show “Display” at the same gallery followed similar lines.
