Downtown Abbey Inspires Memorable Evening of Music

If not already a Downton Abbey fan when you arrive, you are sure to become one before you leave this performance on February 28.  Inspired by the British hit television series, this Soiree delivers a memorable evening of period song and music starting at 8 pm at the University Recital Hall.

Afterimage by Robert Chafe, winner of the 2010 Governor General Award, appears at the University Theatre from February 10 through 14 at 8 pm.  Only the second production in the history of the play, this visual and emotional thriller touched the hearts of student actors and is sure to do the same for audiences.

You have the "License to dance with Her Majesty's Secret Service." Come to Sky-Ball and dance to the Lethbridge Big Band, enjoy refreshments and bid on silent auction items in support of the U of L Wind Orchestra.

In Prost's work, art is an act of resistance, a state of mind, a device to enunciate and exchange ideas. It activates and promotes social engagement, defends the presence of art everywhere and at anytime.

Well, we certainly didn’t plan it this way!  This presentation will unearth the diverse and various campus plans that have been designed over the years and illustrate how the campus evolved into what we see today, and possibly what we may realize tomorrow.
