Condolence Notice — Dorothy McKenna

The University of Lethbridge expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Dorothy McKenna, who passed away on Friday, April 22 at the age of 70.

McKenna was a sessional lecturer in the Department of Modern Languages from 1989 until 1993. She is survived by her husband, Ian, professor emeritus in the Faculty of Management, three children and four grandchildren.

Condolence Notice — Gregory Tompkins

The University of Lethbridge extends it sincere condolences to the family and friends of Gregory Tompkins, who recently passed away.

Tompkins was a longtime employee of the U of L who started as a research assistant in Physics in 1984. In 1986, he was hired as a technician for the Department of Physics and Astronomy and he was promoted to technical specialist in 1996. Working with Dr. David Naylor and the Astronomical Instrumentation Group (AIG), Tompkins provided technical support for electronic instrument control and data acquisition.

Pies for Peace

Sayde Evahnenko, a U of L education student, is going to Greece to work at a refugee camp at the end of April. She is raising funds by creating delicious homemade pies.
