The University of Lethbridge extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Carole Gemer, who passed away at the Foothills Health Centre on Thursday, June 2 at the age of 71.

Gemer, a track and field athlete who was a national silver medallist, became a team manager for both the U of L and national track and field teams. Under her guidance, many teams went to the Pan-American Games, the Commonwealth Games, the World Student Games and the world championships. Gemer was inducted into the Pronghorn Sports Hall of Fame in 2000.

The University of Lethbridge extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Chenyse Plettell, who passed away at Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, May 30 at the age of 21.

An internal investigation into the police charge against a U of L professor has been initiated

The University of Lethbridge extends its sincere condolences to Christina, wife of Cameron Stea, and to his family and friends following his recent passing.

Stea worked as food services director with Aramark. He came to the U of L last April from London, Ont., where he had also worked for Aramark. He and Christina were married last May.

Terri Thomas, associate executive director of Ancillary Services, says Cameron had a friendly disposition and worked well with on-campus departments and stakeholders. He was an integral part of building the new leadership team at Aramark.
