About the Program

Spend four weeks in the heart of Tokyo immersing yourself in the rich culture Japan has to offer. Founded in 1882, Waseda is one of the most international and prestigious universities in Japan. Its summer session lets you learn about a topic of your interest in business, Japanese culture, economics, literature, politics, and more. As well, the program includes lots of extracurricular activities such as Japanese language exercises, field trips, site visits, and cultural events. While you are not in class, you will have six weeks to explore and experience student life in the exciting city of Tokyo!

Cost

Included in Program Fee

The fee of JPY 672,000 (approx. CAD 6,200) for 2025 includes lectures, accommodations for the entire program, airport pickup, and activities/field trips.

Not Included in Program Fee

The program fee does not include U of L tuition for the the course, travel between Canada and Japan, and other living/personal expenses such as food.

Application Process

1. Attend an upcoming info session.
2. Apply to the summer exchange program on MyExperience under Campus Programs.
3. We will review applications after the February 1 deadline and contact you with steps to apply to the partner if you are accepted.
