Day 22 November 6, 2006 Zanzibar's east coast
Well another travel adventure was almost over. As the sun rose over the beach at the Zanzibar Safari Club and a welcome breeze wafted in from the Indian Ocean my thoughts turned to all the amazing places I had experienced over a lifetime. I decided today would be a good day to collect my thoughts onto paper. We started the day watching men fishing and the tide going out. Then, as Joan photographed the club complex and garden others walked up the beach and down the beach. The beach vendors (located just outside club boundaries) waited for our tour group's return to make the big sale while I sat and wrote & wrote. It must have been the inspirational seascape. There was no writer's block this day. . |

In the late afternoon we dropped in at the watering hole and met bartenders Edouardo and Shirima. There were very few visitors at the resort and they had lots of time to talk about life in Zanzibar while we waited for supper.

On leaving we made arrangements to donate some of our newly laundered clothes to the staff. | |||||||||
