Alberta Gambling Research Institute

Purpose

The Alberta Gambling Research Institute is a consortium of the University of Alberta, University of Calgary, and the University of Lethbridge. Its primary purpose is to support and promote research into gambling in the province.

The Institute aims to achieve international recognition in gambling-related research. It is coordinated by a Board of Directors working in collaboration with a consultative stakeholder group. The Government of Alberta provides funding to the Institute.

The Institute Research Director and Research Coordinators at each of the partner universities promote interest in gambling-related research. Information on the funding program of the Institute can be obtained from them, the respective Research Grants Offices, or by contacting the Executive Director.
