Amalgamedia Combines Exhibition, Presentations and Original Video Games

The breadth of New Media studies are on display at Amalgamedia, the end-of-semester showcase for senior University of Lethbridge New Media students.  This free, family-friendly exhibition opens Friday, April 8 at 7 pm at the Dr. Foster James Penny Building, 324 S. 5th St. The exhibition, which runs from April 8 – 13, is open from 1 to 5 pm on the weekend and 1 – 4:30 pm weekdays. 

CKXU 88.3 FM Radio Society, a campus and community non-profit, volunteer driven radio station in Lethbridge, Alberta, is pleased to announce their 10th annual funding campaign “Fund The Frequency”.

We are excited to have Amanda Dawn Christie present in the final Crossing Boundaries Series lecture of the semester. She is an interdisciplinary artist from Moncton, New Brunswick.

First Session: March 1, 2016  from 10:30am - 11:30am

Second Session: March 3, 2016 from 9:30am - 10:30am

Both sessions contain the same content and run two people at a time in 10 minute intervals. The workshops will take place in W850. Register for one spot only, please.

Headed by Director C. Blake Evernden (MFA - New Media '15; BFA - New Media '08) , a local team of young, energetic cast and crew, have crafted a cinematic ode to old-fashioned monster movies.

The next dynamic speaker in the series is visiting artist Heidi Kumao. She gives an overview of media based art works including machines, installations, interactive work and film that blend tragedy and comedy.
