From Friday March 18th until Friday March 25th, CKXU's on-air broadcast content will shift to focus on gathering donations from the public.
CKXU's goal is to raise $30,000. This is the station's third and final fundraising push towards a signal increase, from 125 Watts to 3000 Watts! CKXU's aim has been to raise $45,000 over a three-year period which will go towards a total project cost of about $140.000.
"This year is going to be another amazing year for pledge incentives," said Aaron Trozzo, CKXU Station Manager. "We've got a lot of support from local and non-local businesses and organization offering up great items to help DJ's spice up the already amazing pledge packages."
CKXU is proud to have many community partners and sponsors for this campaign, including: SAAG, Attainable Records, The Slice Bar & Grill, The Owl Acoustic Lounge, Theoretically Brewing, Blueprint Entertainment, Boys & Girls Club, YMCA Lethbridge, Cuppers Coffee, and the Lethbridge Public Library – as well as many local businesses enrolled on the famous “Friends of CKXU Program”.
