The MacLachlan Prize winner announced!

Congratulations to Theo Harvey, who was awarded the 2015-2016 MacLachlan Prize. Theo is the first recipient of this award, and received a prize of $200 for his achievement.

This award was established on Professor Ian MacLachlan's retirement from the Department of Geography, University of Lethbridge. In recognition of unfailing commitment to student success and mentorship, it is awarded annually to the student in 2nd year Economic Geography who best displays enthusiasm for and a commitment to the sub-discipline.

Hyperspectral Science and Technology Workshop

On November 4th & 5th, the Alberta Terrestrial Imaging Centre (ATIC) at the University of Lethbridge will be hosting a Hyperspectral Workshop as part of the AMETHYST Program workshop series (WHIS&T 2015). This 2-day workshop is focused on LiDAR (Day 1) and Atmospheric Remote Sensing and Int'l Year of Light (Day 2) and features speakers from various parts of Canada and Europe, as well as 3 Technology Roundtable discussions and lots of opportunities for further networking etc. Additional details are available in the attached agenda.
