Advisory — Opportunity to talk about legalized gambling with PUBlic Professor Series speaker Williams
The age-old adage, “The house always wins,” is as well known today as ever and yet legalized gambling seems to be growing daily. On Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sandman Signature Lethbridge Lodge, the University of Lethbridge’s Dr. Robert Williams will present, Legalized Gambling in Canada: Winners and Losers, as this season’s final PUBlic Professor Series event.
WHAT: Media availability with Dr. Robert Williams
WHEN: Tuesday, March 24, 10 a.m.
WHERE: Markin Hall Atrium
Dr. Robert Williams is a clinical psychologist and professor in the ULethbridge Addictions Counselling program. He frequently provides consultation to government, industry, the media and public interest groups, and regularly gives expert witness testimony on the impacts of gambling.
As many media members are unable to attend the evening PUBlic Professor Series events, this is an opportunity to discuss the researcher’s work.
