Media Availability University of Lethbridge Pronghorns men’s and women’s basketball teams open their Canada West regular season schedules this weekend, November 4-5, in the 1st Choice Savings Centre gymnasium. In advance of Friday and Saturday games against the University of Victoria Vikes, head coaches Jermaine Small (men) and Dave Waknuk (women) are available to speak to media about the upcoming season, additions to their respective rosters and expectations for the season. UPDATE The University of Lethbridge’s Nightmare on Shred Street 5 returned Monday after being suspended for the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In just 3½ hours, the event raised twice as many cash donations for the Students’ Union Food Bank than its last event in 2019, collected plentiful food donations and served more than 70 people.

The University of Lethbridge hosted the Entomological Society of Alberta annual conference virtually on Friday, Oct. 21 with entomologists from across the province. Dr. Dan Johnson, the society’s president, a ULethbridge professor and insect expert, says the expertise of these entomologists is invaluable to understanding and solving environmental challenges, as well as providing research in support of agricultural producers and conservation agencies in Alberta.
