Dr. Daniel Paul O’Donnell of the Centre for the Study of Scholarly Communication and Department of English at the University of Lethbridge is collaborating with an international team on a project that investigates academic peer review.
The project, led by Principal Investigator Dr. Martin Eve at Birkbeck College, University of London, has been awarded a grant of $99,000 from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. This project will analyze the role of peer review in the research cycle to develop better ways of using expert opinion to assess and improve the literature.

Providing hands-on health and biomedical research experience to Grade 11 students in Alberta
A total of seven area grade 11 students are on campus this week taking part in the Heritage Youth Researcher Summer (HYRS) program, a six-week, hands-on, multidisciplinary research program that is offered to top students with a proven academic record and an interest in innovative health-care solutions.

Learning Quest and Codemakers summer camps start July 4th and run until August 25th with Destination Exploration, Lethbridge’s leading youth science outreach program. Sport & Recreation Services summer camps at the University of Lethbridge are rapidly filling up in advance of the first week of offerings and with some additional services available for parents this summer, are proving more popular than ever.
Summer camp season at the U of L kicks off July 4 and continues through the week of August 21, a week longer than usual. What has also been extended are the hours of operation, allowing parents more flexibility with drop-off ad pick-up times for their children.
