One of the world’s foremost experts in sleep and consciousness, Dr. Giulio Tononi, is coming to the University of Lethbridge to present a public talk and an academic lecture on these topics and more.

Religious studies professor, Dr. Hillary Rodrigues, will present the fifth talk of the 2019/20 season of the Faculty of Arts & Science’s PUBlic Professor Series this week, Combatting Delusion: Gleanings from the Hindu Great Goddess and Eastern Sages. The free event takes place Thursday, Feb. 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sandman Signature Lethbridge Lodge and is open to the public.

Agility’s Innovation Zone helps solve issue in Science Commons

Nick Gabbin, a project manager with University of Lethbridge Facilities, encountered a vexing problem while putting the finishing touches on the Science Commons, specifically in the vivarium, which houses live animals. The vivarium follows strict decontamination protocols to ensure the space remains clean. The problem arose when viewers or peepholes were installed in the doors. The door viewers have a movable eyepiece that can be rotated to allow the viewer to see different parts of the room.

Perry family and Perry Family Farm honorees at Dhillon School of Business 33rd Annual Scholarship Dinner

The University of Lethbridge Dhillon School of Business will honour the Perry family and the Perry Family Farm at its 33rd annual Scholarship Dinner on Thursday, April 9, 6 p.m. at the Coast Hotel and Conference Centre. Each year, an outstanding member or members of the southern Alberta community are selected as honorees by the Dhillon School of Business and its advisory board for their leadership, achievements and commitment to the communities they serve.
