Tom Hill is an artist, curator, arts administrator, policy maker and recipient of the Governor General's Award.

Dave Dyment is a Toronto based artist whose work encompasses audio, video, photography, writing, curating and the production of artists’ books and multiples. He has exhibited across the country and was recently included in the Montreal Biennale. Many of his recent projects have been in response to site-specific histories (the Power Plant archives, The Walper Hotel in Kitchener and the Given-Shaw public school archives). In 2008 he was the artist in residence at the Glenfiddich Distilleries in Northern Scotland, where he produced a 100-year barrel of whiskey.

Amy Malbeuf is a Métis visual artist from Rich Lake, Alberta, Canada. Malbeuf has exhibited her work nationally and internationally at such venues as the MacKenzie Art Gallery, Regina; Kamloops Art Gallery, Kamloops; Contemporary Calgary; Kings ARI, Melbourne, Australia; and Stride Gallery, Calgary. Most recently Malbeuf exhibited at the Dunlop Art Gallery as part of Material Girls as well as in Future Station: Alberta Biennial of Contemporary Art at the Art Gallery of Alberta.

“Living in Puerto Rico allowed me the space and time to develop my studio practice.  Through painting, drawing and printmaking, I explored landscapes, primarily though the lens of science, ecological theory, and phenomenology.  After 5 years abroad, I returned to Lethbridge, where I work as an artist and am a mother to two young children. 

Crystal Mowry will speak about her experiences as a curator whose roots are in studio practice. Mowry will show examples of previous curatorial projects that reflect her ongoing interest in narrative and authenticity.

Michael Campbell is interested in obsolete technologies, remote landscapes, purposeless inventions, suburban boredom, bad sci-fi films, utopic schemes, adolescent fantasy sketchbooks and handmade tools.

Jill Stanton is an Edmonton-based artist who uses the language of comics and graphic narrative to examine themes of dreams, nature, technology and the future. Her work spans various scales—from smaller drawings in graphic novels and comic books, to exploring pattern and environment in large-scale murals and transitory public pieces. Jill's work has been featured in Manning Hall at the Art Gallery of Alberta, the 2015 Alberta Biennial of Contemporary Art, the 2015 Sled Island Music Festival in Calgary, and various private mural commissions.

Tanya Doody will discuss her research and extended practice centering on ceramics. 

Tanya Doody is a Canadian artist working in a variety of media including performance, video, and sculpture. Her work revolves around craftivist strategies, performative acts, and poetic gestures.

Her work can often take the form of one-on-one encounters with the viewer-turned-participant, centering on actions mediated by handmade ceramic objects.
