Library 24-hour Study available October 4

The University Library’s 24-hour study space will be available after staffed hours starting Monday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m.

The space on level 10 north of the Library can be accessed via the Library’s main entrance during staffed hours. The 24-hour space will be accessible after hours via the sliding doors to the left of the entrance.

In this workshop, we look at questionable practices used by some publishers as well as tips to help you assess the trustworthiness of journals you're not sure about.

EndNote is citation management software which can help you manage, organize and use your research literature. It integrates with Microsoft Word (and selected other word processing software) so that you can "cite-while-you-write" using your choice of citation styles. "So you want to learn to code: How Python can help with your next assignment" Workshop | October 5 or 7

This hands-on workshop will instruct participants on the basics of coding and guide them through the process of writing simple scripts in Python. Students attending this workshop will receive credit on their MyExperience Transcript.

Requirements:

  • Participants must be comfortable using a mouse and keyboard - no programming experience is required
