Advisory — Opportunity to talk with the Chem Guys before their historic final show
Sparking young minds and turning them on to the wonders of science has been at the heart of the Chem Guys since they first started performing science shows 25 years ago. Now, the duo of John Eng and Wayne Lippa from the University of Lethbridge’s Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry are performing one last time.
WHAT: Media availability with John Eng and Wayne Lippa
WHEN: Tuesday, April 7, 10 a.m.
WHERE: Science Commons Lab SA7104 (meet inside the entrance to science Commons at the Periodic Table)
Eng is retiring after 40 years of research and teaching, meaning the Thursday, April 9 (6 p.m. Co-op Centre for Sport & Wellness) show will be their final opportunity entertaining and educating audiences about all things chemistry. The Chem Guys showed that chemistry could be fun and inspired generations of young minds to turn on to the possibilities of science.
