Advisory — Picture yourself at ULethbridge Open House

Future students and their families are being asked to picture themselves as part of the University of Lethbridge family when they take part in Saturday’s Open House event across campus.

WHAT: Open House

WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 25, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

WHERE: University of Lethbridge, main Lethbridge campus

For anyone who may be considering post-secondary schooling, Open House is an opportunity to take a sneak peek at student life, check out which programs pique your curiosity and talk with current students, staff, professors, alumni and more.

“This is an awesome chance for anyone curious about ULethbridge to really see what we’re all about and what we have to offer,” says Scott Marchant, assistant registrar of Enrolment. “We want future students to have a great time while exploring all the possibilities here. There’ll be interactive sessions, chances to meet people from all over campus, win some cool prizes, and start imagining themselves as part of the ULethbridge community.”

Future students can apply for on-the-spot admission and enter a draw to win a $1,000 tuition prize, win one of 25 guaranteed beds in housing, pick up a prize bundle of ULethbridge swag, get free tickets to that night’s Pronghorns basketball games as well as gift cards and coupons to local businesses.

From student supports to student life, work-integrated and experiential learning opportunities, campus tours, lab visits, an entrepreneur challenge, a look at the nursing simulation centre and a chance to ask all your toughest questions to a current student panel, Open House has it all.

Media are invited to attend throughout the day and speak with students and organizers of the various activities.
