Advisory - Summer camps continue to educate, entertain children throughout summer months

The University of Lethbridge, through Destination Exploration and Sport and Recreation Services, offers a variety of summer camp experiences for children of all ages. Campers will kick off their third week of activities at the U of L on Monday, July 15.

WHAT: Camps taking place the week of July 15-19 include:

Destination ExplorationStructures and Buildings (Grades 1-3); Extreme City (Grades 4-6); Codemakers: Codebreakers (Grades 6-8).

Sport and Recreation ServicesArtist Studio (Ages 6-8); Multi Activity (Grades 1-5); Climbing (Ages 8-16); Lifesaving Sport (Ages 7+); Drama (Ages 9-12); Martial Arts (Ages 9-12)

WHEN: Daily, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

WHERE: Destination Exploration camps take place in the Alberta Water and Environmental Sciences Building, while Sport and Recreation Services camps take place throughout the University.

WHO: The majority of children have signed FOIP forms and are eligible to be photographed, filmed or interviewed. Camp leaders will advise of those who cannot be photographed.

Media are invited to check out any of the camps, take photos or videos and talk to both camp organizers and the children taking part. The U of L is a proud provider of community outreach activities, inspiring children through innovative, interactive and engaging experiences.
