About Me

Oluwagbohunmi (Olu) Adetunji Awosoga is an Applied and Professional Statistician with over 35 years of post-secondary teaching experience. Dr. Awosoga is a Nigerian and Canadian Citizen; he is currently a Full Professor and a former Board of Governors Teaching Chair (2019-2021) at the University of Lethbridge. In 2021, he was a Carnegie African Diaspora Fellow at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, and Chrisland University, Abeokuta, Nigeria. His research interest includes the well-being and Quality of life of professional Caregivers, Wellness amongst Rural and Urban Childcare Providers, Health and Safety in the Workplace, Psychometrics, ageing, dementia in the elderly, Meta-Analysis, Mixed-Methods, and the application of Statistics in Health, Education, and Social Sciences.
His contribution to most research studies includes but is not limited to checking psychometric properties of new survey instruments, estimation of appropriate sample size, power and effect size required for the study, sensitivity analysis, Questionnaire design process, Construction of Databases needed for the study, Addressing reliability of the survey instrument, suggest appropriate statistical methods for data analysis, and prepare the quantitative methodological aspect of the study final report and publications.
As a hobby, Dr. Awosoga enjoys spending time with family and friends, statistical consulting, and researching the Scriptures.
