Biography
Dr. Copeland is the Acting Dean of the School of Graduate Studies & Postdoctoral Affairs, and Acting Associate Vice-President (Research). She is also a Professor in the Department of Kinesiology & Physical Education. Dr. Copeland completed a B.Sc. in Biology at Mount Allison University and attended graduate school at the University of New Brunswick where she earned a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology.
Research Interests
Dr. Copeland's research interests focus on the effect of physical activity and sedentary behaviour on health across the lifespan, with a particular focus on healthy aging. She uses a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to explore both the consequences and determinants of our daily movement behaviours.
