Biography

Abdlmutaleb (Abdul) Boshanna’s research interests lie in Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Corporate Communication, Corporate Disclosure, Sustainability, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Textual Analysis, and Machine Learning. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Sobey School of Business, Saint Mary’s University, and an M.Sc. in Accounting from the University of Benghazi. He completed his Postdoctoral Fellowship at Dalhousie University. Boshanna currently teaches Accounting Information Systems and Data Analytics, and received the Best Paper Award at the AAA International Accounting Section Midyear Meeting (Miami, 2025). His research has been supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). Boshanna has presented his work at academic gatherings such as the Canadian Sustainable Finance Network (CSFN) Conference, the Strategic Management Society (SMS) Conference, and the AAA International Accounting Section Meetings.
