Community Neuroscience Series: Surjeet Singh

Wednesday, Feb. 19, 7 to 8 p.m., Telegraph Taphouse, 310 6 St. S.

In this community speaker series, researchers from the Canadian Centre for Behavioural Neuroscience visit local venues to discuss hot topics in neuroscience. Everyone is invited to join Singh, a PhD candidate, as he talks about the similarities and differences between common technology and the human mind. He’ll also share his journey from engineering to neuroscience to demonstrate the importance of interdisciplinary research.

U of L Honour Band to perform at annual teachers’ convention

Friday, Feb. 21, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., W500, University Theatre

Prior to their performance at the South Western Alberta Teachers’ Convention Association (SWATCA), the University of Lethbridge Wind Orchestra and band students from southern Alberta will be rehearsing with special guest conductor, Dr. Colleen Richardson.
