University of Lethbridge Alumni Association seeking to further engage alumni, ratifies five new chapters

Friday, November 2, 2018

The University of Lethbridge Alumni Association (ULAA) recently ratified five new alumni chapters as it seeks to further engage the now more than 43,000 U of L alumni who are making a difference in communities around the world.

In September, the ULAA confirmed its five new chapters, bringing the total number of uLethbridge alumni chapters to seven: the Lethbridge Chapter, the Calgary Chapter, the Iniskim Indigenous Chapter, the Edmonton Chapter, the On-Campus Chapter, the Vancouver Chapter and the Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) Chapter.

“While some, such as the Edmonton Chapter or the Vancouver Chapter, are geography-based and seek the engagement of alumni centered in localized areas, others, like the GOLD Chapter, will prioritize making connections catered towards the personal relationships alumni have with the University,” says ULAA President Michael Gabriel (BA ’04).

This initiative is part of the U of L’s SHINE campaign and highlights the University’s goal of reaching 20,000 engaged alumni.

These chapters host events and initiatives that encourage community, volunteerism and connection by bringing alumni together in meaningful ways. By mobilizing alumni around the world, the ULAA seeks to foster a more active, tight-knit community, expanding the University’s reputation and reach.
