The University of Lethbridge Mace Program will visit a variety of schools this spring, educating students about the U of L’s Convocation and its associated traditions and symbols. Chief Marshal Dr. Olu Awosoga, dressed in full regalia, will speak to students about the history of the mace and how it fits into the annual Convocation ceremonies. Students will then have the opportunity to don white gloves and hold the mace, which has been used in U of L Convocation ceremonies since being dedicated in 1988. WHAT: The University of Lethbridge’s $280-million Science & Academic Building’s (SAB) interior is taking shape, with the project recently hitting the 75 per cent completion milestone.
