Teaching Innovation Fund supports remote sensing class project sending balloon to the edge of space

When University of Lethbridge geography professor Dr. Craig Coburn looked at redesigning his Remote Sensing 4650 course, he aimed high – all the way to space. Proposing a high-altitude balloon project as the centerpiece, Coburn and his 24 students designed, created and launched a remote sensing system that scraped the edge of the earth’s upper atmosphere and provided an unparalleled student experience.

Destination Exploration and City of Lethbridge welcome Lethbridge School District girls to first All Girls STEM Day

Advisory - University of Lethbridge 50th anniversary activities coming to Pincher Creek

The University of Lethbridge is hosting a pair of activities in Pincher Creek Apr. 25-26 in celebration of its 50th anniversary. On Tuesday, April 25 at 7 p.m. at the Kootenai Brown Museum, U of L archivist and historian Mike Perry will be giving a presentation on the 50-year history of the University. This event is free and open to the public.

University of Lethbridge appoints Kathleen Massey as new Associate Vice-President (Students)

The University of Lethbridge Board of Governors has approved the appointment of Kathleen Massey as Associate Vice-President (Students). Massey is currently the Registrar and Executive Director, Enrolment Services at McGill University, a position she has held since 2007. She previously held posts at the University of Calgary, Centennial College and York University.
