Lethbridge MP Rachael Thomas to visit Destination Exploration as part of Bring Your MP to STEM Camp Week

A media opportunity is scheduled for 11:15 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 9

Youngsters attending Destination Exploration’s Medical Science camp will get the chance to meet Lethbridge MP Rachael Thomas as part of Bring Your MP to STEM Camp, a national campaign by Actua, Canada’s leading science, technology, engineering and mathematics youth outreach network.

As a member of Actua, Destination Exploration (DE) provides a variety of hands-on and engaging STEM programs for youth and their families. As part of the University of Lethbridge’s Faculty of Arts & Science, DE has access to top-notch facilities in Science Commons and aims to provide participants with enjoyable experiences in STEM as a base for lifelong learning.

  • What — MP Thomas visits the Medical Science camp for seven- to 10-year-olds where they will be building their own Operation games using pizza boxes and the Makey Makey
