Dr. Digvir Jayas begins his tenure as the University of Lethbridge’s seventh president and vice-chancellor on July 1, 2023, and will be hosting a Welcome Walk on his first day on campus on Tuesday, July 4.
Media are invited to speak with Jayas in advance of the community walk and take part in the walk and the following reception.
WHAT: Welcome Walk with Dr. Digvir Jayas
WHEN: Tuesday, July 4, 2023, 12 p.m. (media availability in advance at 11:45 a.m.)
WHERE: University Hall Atrium
The Welcome Walk is open to members of the community and marks Jayas’s first official day on campus. It will follow a route throughout campus, lasting approximately 30 minutes. Snacks and refreshments will follow in the UHall Atrium.
