UHall - D547 Construction

Please be advised that during the period of Tuesday, May 1st, 2018 through Thursday, May 3rd, 2018, contractors will be disassembling mechanical equipment in University Hall D547. This work is expected to cause noise that will affect the adjacent spaces.

Library Services Desk Redevelopment: December 19 – 22, 2017 & January 2 – 5, 2018

Preparations for migrating research and technology support from the current Information & Research Assistance Desk to a space inside the General Services Desk space will begin December 19, 2017 and conclude by January 5, 2018.

The current Information & Research Assistance Desk will be removed following the migration. Throughout the process, there may be additional dust and noise associated with the work. Levels 9 and 11 will be least impacted by the work.

Library Collections Moves Update: Level 9 Reopened

The installation of compact shelving on level 9 north, and migrations of level 10 Main and Government Documents Collections was completed. Library patrons now have access to the entirety of level 9 to browse collections and make use of quiet study space.  

Though the compact shelving installation is complete, there are other activities taking place. Signage throughout the Library will be updated and there will be data/electrical work performed (tentatively scheduled for August 18 & 19).

The Main and Government Documents Collections have been moved to level 9.

Patrons can request materials from the Main Collection's NB to Z call numbers or Government Documents Collection by submitting the requested call numbers to the General Services Desk in person or by emailing the request to gsd.library@uleth.ca. Requests will be retrieved within 24-hours of submission.

Library Collection on the Move: Main Collection Rs to Zs Moving to Level 9

On Friday, July 28 the portion of the Main Collection that is on level 10 north (call numbers R to Z) began migrating to the new level 9 north compact shelving system.

Patrons can request materials from this area by submitting the requested call numbers to the General Services Desk in person or by emailing the request to gsd.library@uleth.ca. Requests will be retrieved within 24-hours of submission.
