ASBESTOS REMOVAL - PE BUILDING – LEVEL 2 EAST - HALLWAY (Access to PE248, and washrooms)
Please be advised between December 5, 2017 to December 8, 2017 contractors will be performing asbestos removal in the PE2H10 hallway and PE236A. A containment entrance will be set up on each end of the hallway . During this time there will be no admittance into this hallway and the washrooms will not be accessible. This work is being completed to allow for PE236A lab renovations to be performed throughout the month of December 2017.
This is a normal procedure for any renovation project executed involving asbestos abatement. Removal will be completed consistent with the requirements of the Alberta Occupational Health & Safety Code, and performed by trained and certified workers pursuant to the required code of practice to ensure that there is no health risk to students, staff, faculty, the general public or construction workers. Air monitoring will be completed by an independent environmental technologist and the reports will be posted on the Risk and Safety Services website.
