Construction Notice - Markin Hall/Students Union access road

Work to install the water service to the science and academic building will begin Wednesday June 15. Workers will be excavating in the area north east of Markin Hall along the Valley Ridge roadway. Access to Markin Hall and Students Union building is not expected to be interrupted but speed limit reductions and other safety measures will be in place. Please respect safety signage and construction flag persons relating to this site for your safety and theirs.

University Hall Concrete Cladding Remediation Project

University Hall Concrete Cladding Remediation Project:

 Contractors are scheduled from May 30 to September 30 to perform maintenance on the exterior concrete panels on University Hall. This work will include removal and replacement of caulking and application of a concrete sealant. Work will require the use of boom lifts, swing stages and scaffolding to access various elevations of the building.

 

Please obey barricades and signage for your safety and the safety of the workers.

Fire Alarm testing in University Hall

On Monday August 31st at 5:00pm the fire alarm will be tested in the University Hall Residence sections D and E. During this time the alarm bells will be ringing. The testing will take approximately 2 hours to complete. If you have any questions/concerns please contact Greg Lacey at 403-380-1891.

Restricted Access and Noise - UHall/UCA Loading Dock and Breezeway - August 24th and 25th

Essential maintenance work requires unrestricted access to the UCA loading dock and UHall Breezeway Ramp at ALL times. Noise may affect occupants on the west side of University Hall, particularly in blocks C and D.

Library Construction & Service Disruption | June 22 – late-August

Beginning June 22, the Library will begin preparation for installation of compact shelving on level 9 north.

Please be aware of the following impacts:

MAIN COLLECTION ACCESS | Call Numbers NB to QH 499
The collection on level 9 north will not be accessible by patrons. Patrons can request materials from this area by submitting requested call numbers to the General Services Desk in person or by emailing the request to gsd.library@uleth.ca. Requests will be retrieved within 24-hours of submission.
