ART NOW - Darcy Logan Speaks February 26th, 2018 at Noon in the Recital Hall

Darcy Logan is a multi-disciplinary artist who works in media as diverse as painting, printmaking, performance, and video. Exhibiting under the anonym Frater Tham, he is interested in exploring myth, folklore, and fringe-epistemology as a tool to investigate & recontexualize the conventions of personal and cultural knowledge.

ART NOW - Joanne Stober Speaks February 9th, 2018 at Noon in the Recital Hall

Dr. Joanne Stober is Historian of War and Visual Culture at the Canadian War Museum. She is a photography and film historian, and is an adjunct professor at Carleton University’s School for Studies in Art and Culture. Her doctorate is in Communications and Media Studies from Concordia University in Montréal. 

Stober will be speaking while in Alberta for the opening of the traveling exhibition Witness: Canadian Art of the First World War at the Military Museums in Calgary (exhibition opens February 7th at 6pm)

A man who believes he is terminally ill teams up with a ruthless American gangster (Dennis Hopper) in the hope of leaving a legacy for his family.
