Celebrate Records and Information Management Month

April is Records and Information Management (RIM) Month. Join Records Management and Information Technnology Services and celebrate records and information all month long.

Weekly Challenges
Each week, faculty and staff will be invited to complete a weekly challenge for an opportunity to win great prizes. These challenges can be completed right at your desk in 15 minutes or less. Every submission will be entered into both the weekly prize draw and the grand prize draw that will be held at the end of the month. 

  1. Online Records Management scavenger hunt (April 3 to 6)
  2. Submit a list of the top 10 records or documents that you couldn't live without in your job (April 9 to 13)
  3. Online information security and privacy scavenger hunt (April 16 to 20)
  4. Submit your RIM tips and tricks (April 23 to 27)

Check the Notice Board and UWeekly each week to get started on the weekly challenge, and to learn about RIM and the services offered by Records Management. 

New Video Channel
Watch for the launch of a new RIM video channel where you will be able to find online training, tips and tricks for managing your electronic records, and much more. 

Register for Training
Attend a training session and be entered to win the RIM Month grand prize. The following courses are offered:

  • Records Management Fundamentals
  • Managing Physical Records

DRO Drive
The Records Management policy requires each unit to designate a records officer to support RIM in their unit and liaise with Records Management on the development of the  University's RIM program. We will be reaching out to department heads to confirm or identify these Designated Records Officers.
