Condolence Notice — Donald Young

The University of Lethbridge extends its sincere condolences to the friends and family of Don Young, who passed away on Saturday, Nov. 6 at the age of 74.

An agrologist with Alberta Agriculture, Young was a dedicated supporter of the community wherever he lived, including Lethbridge. In addition to giving his time to other local organizations, he served on the U of L Board of Governors from 1996 to 2002.

Mootookakio'ssin Website Launch

The Mootookakio’ssin website launch will be held on Nov. 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m in the Science Commons Atrium. This is a drop-in demonstration with no formal program. COVID-19 protocols are in effect.

This hands-on workshop walks participants through the process of creating a poster with GIMP. Students attending this workshop will receive credit on their MyExperience Transcript. In this workshop, participants will learn how to:

  • Setup a poster for print and digital
  • Navigate the GIMP interface
  • Use GIMP tools to create a customized design
  • Export designs in a variety of file types
