Our new Assistant Professor in English, Dana Lew, is teaching about the relationship between travel and literature and the early novel in the global eighteenth century.

How have writers used literary forms to tell feminist stories or imagine feminist futures? In this class, we will read various stories of adventurous and resilient women and gender-diverse characters.

The Marlowe seminar will explore the work of (arguably) the second most significant playwright in the language.

This course offers students an overview of some of the major theoretical questions of Marxist critical theory. No prior knowledge is assumed. Open to students from all disciplines who possess third-year standing.
