Wind damages Wellness Centre

A security and safety notice has been issued today in regards to wind damage sustained by the 1st Choice Savings Centre for Sport and Wellness.

Both the north and south exit doors to the Wellness Centre have been closed. People are directed to use the Turcotte Hall or Students' Union building exits by Anderson Hall to access the West and Far West parking lots.

High winds have damaged 16 exterior siding/roof panels on the west side of the 1st Choice Savings Centre. To ensure the safety of people leaving campus while the remaining panels are secured, the north and south exit doors to the 1st Choice Savings Centre for Sport and Wellness are closed until further notice.

Security barriers are positioned to direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic away from the repair area.

The facility remains open.
