Prospective students invited to take part in Saturday’s uLethbridge Virtual Open House – Spring 2021

Anticipating more physical doors opening in the fall, the University of Lethbridge will throw open its virtual doors to prospective students on Saturday, May 6 for the annual spring open house.

uLethbridge Virtual Open House - Spring 2021 takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering potential students and their families a glimpse of everything the University offers. The U of L held its first fully virtual open house in September 2020 and while a return to an in-person experience is desired, the virtual space offers new opportunities to connect with students and their families, all from the comfort of home, via desktop, laptop, tablet or phone connections.

“We obviously want to welcome students to our campus because there is no better way to understand the U of L experience than by being immersed in this incredible setting and talking face-to-face with the faculty and staff who steward the unique culture we have here,” says Kathleen Massey, the University’s associate vice-president (students). “I know we learned a lot from our first virtual presentation, and we also were able to reach quite a few more people who otherwise may not have been able to connect with us, so we’re excited about hosting everyone again on Saturday.”

All of the University’s Faculties and schools will be represented at Open House. Information sessions about U of L programs and admission, student services and opportunities, as well as ways students can enhance their studies and experience are all part of the online package. There’s also the opportunity for potential students to take part in one-on-one meetings with faculty members, instructors, staff and current students.

“We’ve designed the morning to allow everyone a glimpse of the entire U of L experience,” adds Massey. “There’s so much opportunity when you come to the University, we want our prospective students and their families to see all the doors that begin to open with a U of L education.”

Qualified domestic undergraduate applicants who apply any time before March 8, 2021 will receive a chance to win a $1,000 tuition credit.
