Heather Steacy golden in Florida

University of Lethbridge Pronghorns thrower Heather Steacy continued her strong showing this summer, winning the hammer throw event at the NACAC (North American, Central American, and Caribbean Athletic Association) under 23 Championships in Miramar, Fla. this past weekend.

The Steacy family now has three gold medals in the NACAC hammer throw with Heather joining older brothers Jim, who won gold in 2003 in Sherbrooke, Que. and Sean, who won the event two years ago in Mexico.
