Restricted Access and Noise - UHall/UCA Loading Dock and Breezeway - August 24th and 25th

This notice is from the archives of The Notice Board. Information contained in this notice was accurate at the time of publication but may no longer be so.

The Facilities Department will be undertaking a major mechanical project on Monday August 24th and Tuesday August 25th that will require unrestricted access to the University Hall/University Center for the Arts Loading dock, and the ramp down to the University Hall Breezeway at ALL times (24 hours a day).  The trucks that will be part of this work have a very wide turning radius, so the area of the loading dock by the Utilities department, Housing and Building Maintenance entrances must remain completely clear of traffic wherever possible during this time.  If loading and unloading is essential, it must remain as brief as possible and vehicles should then be immediately moved to other appropriate parking stalls.
There will be a crew of contractors in this area that may ask vehicles to be moved if they believe they could block access in the event of an emergency.

The work will involve vacuum trucks running continuously from Monday 8am to Tuesday 4pm.  The noise from these trucks may affect occupants on the west side of University Hall, particularly in blocks C and D.
