Nikkei Memory Capture Project: “Stop the Presses! Japanese-Canadians in 20th century Southern Alberta newspapers” Exhibit | October 31 – December 22
The Nikkei Memory Capture Project’s “Stop the Presses! Japanese-Canadians in 20th century Southern Alberta newspapers” exhibit is now being featured in the University of Lethbridge Library. The exhibit presents articles from Southern Alberta newspapers and reveals how they portrayed Canadian Nikkei (people of Japanese descent) during the 20th century. From the exhibit you will see how the newspapers reflect changing cultural, moral, and social attitudes over time.
