Condolence Notice — Dr. Robert Church (LLD '98)

The University of Lethbridge extends its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Robert Church (LLD ’98) who passed away Friday, Sept. 6 at the age of 82.

Church was a man of many talents — an educator, medical scientist, cattleman and entrepreneur. A latter-day Renaissance man, he built an international reputation on his scientific achievements and his talent for developing new products and services in response to customer demand.

MacKinnon panel report on Alberta's finances

On Tuesday, Sept. 3, the report of the MacKinnon Panel on Alberta’s Finances was released. The report can be found online at https://www.alberta.ca/assets/documents/mackinnon-panel-report.pdf.

In the comings days and weeks, the University of Lethbridge will assess how the recommendations in the MacKinnon Report may impact the U of L. The U of L will also continue to work with the Alberta government to understand how the recommendations may affect the institution.
