COVID-19 — Restricted access to U of L (Lethbridge campus) buildings

This notice is from the archives of The Notice Board. Information contained in this notice was accurate at the time of publication but may no longer be so.

On Monday, Mar. 30, 2020 the University of Lethbridge will move to Restricted Access to (Lethbridge) campus buildings.

We understand there are people who will need to continue to access campus in limited ways. To ensure such required access is maintained, important information pertinent to each group/circumstance is provided below. If you fall into one of the groups below, please carefully review the information/links provided and follow any necessary instructions.

1.   Staff required to work on campus for operational continuity (approved by Deans/Executive Directors)

If your work has been identified as requiring on campus work/access (sporadically, or regular shifts) for operational continuity, your supervisor/manager has been asked to identify you and the location of access. If your name has been identified, your access should not be interrupted in this shift as keys/card access should be in place by March 30, 2020. No action is required on your part.

2.   Personnel required for critical ongoing research continuity

Allowances may be made for continuing critical in-progress research, scholarship and creative activities to continue on site. Most who are impacted have already been working with the Critical Continuity Research Committee in preparation for this shift. For selected research activities to proceed on campus, they must be registered and approved by the University.

3.   Students without remote access to internet

Anderson Hall continues to remain open seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., for campus community members (who are unable to work remotely) to access wi-fi, make use of computer labs and to borrow laptops. The space is monitored to ensure physical distancing and study spaces are cleaned between users.

4.   One-time access

The University is committed to restricted access to do our part to respond to COVID-19. Notwithstanding this directive, in extraordinary cases, allowances may be made for ONE-TIME ACCESS onto campus.

Please remember, anyone who is working on campus is required to sign into the Working on Campus Registry.
