This NSERC User Group meeting has been organized to discuss issues to be presented at a subsequent meeting with Senior Administration representatives.

NSERC representatives will be on campus to update the university community on the Discovery Grant Program.

The Alberta RNA Research and Training Institute (ARRTI) presents the ARRTI Speaker Series, a monthly lecture series open to the public and established to bring leading researchers to the University of Lethbridge for lectures on a broad range of topics relating to RNA research.

Dr. Schultz will discuss how the products of the FORKED gene family and the UNHINGED gene act within cells to influence developing tissue in plants.

These visits will also serve as a platform for the community to ask questions and seek more information from some of NSERC’s grants and scholarships staff.

Dr. Boraston to speak about the degradation of polysaccharides by microbes from the human gut microbiome and Dr. Smith to speak about gene deregulation by oncogenic transcription factors.
