John Savill is a Lethbridge architect who owns and operates Savill Group Architecture Ltd. and the Trianon Gallery.  He has been designing since 1972 when John and two friends formed a design buildcompany called the '38 Mothers' in Vancouver, B.C.

It’s often said that “A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.”  This lecture will explore how a little knowledge about design and architecture is beneficial to almost anyone.

Title:  On The Preservation of Reliability

Reasoning in science combines detailed, sophisticated and rigorous calculations with a multiplicity of models, assumptions and approximations whose status is very difficult to determine.  The logical incompatibility of these models, assumptions and approximations raises questions about the nature and status of the both the premises and the conclusions of scientific reasoning.
