JET Programme Information Session

The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme offers university graduates the opportunity to live and work in Japan. Established in 1987, more than 57,000 JET Programme participants from around the world have gone to Japan to improve English language education and promote grassroots level internationalization.  Sponsored by the Government of Japan, it is one of the largest and most respected government supported exchange programs in the world.

ART NOW - Bianca Beetson Speaks October 6th, 2014 at Noon

Bianca Beetson is of the Gubbi Gubbi people of the Sunshine Coast. Her work is instantly recognisable as she always uses the colour pink. She is a member of the Campfire Group as well as the ProppaNOW artists group, both based in Brisbane. She has shown her work in a number of exhibitions including the '2nd Asia Pacific Triennal' at the Queensland Art Gallery in 1996/1997, ‘Black Humour’ at the Canberra Contemporary Art Space in 1997 as well as the 2001 exhibition "Gatherings, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art From Queensland Australia" in Brisbane.

Warren Jestin is Scotiabank’s Chief Economist and has been with the Bank since 1979. Since then, he has become a popular public speaker and media commentator on economic issues in Canada and abroad. The reasons: his expertise both about Canadian and global economic issues is extensive and his team's research work is leading-edge. Warren travels extensively meeting with experts around the globe to keep pace with the latest developments. In addition to an M.A. and a Ph.D., Warren acquired economics experience at the Bank of Canada and he has taught at several universities.

Professional Development Program Case Competition Prep Sessions

Are you confident in your abilities to analyze, write, and present a case?

This 8 week class facilitated by Bruce Thurston will cover everything that you need to know about doing a case. Content covered will include: analytical skills, qualitative skills, and quantitative tools. These skills will help you in the classroom, when doing case competitions such as preparation for JDC West.

It is recommended that you attend all 8 classes; however, classes can be signed up for individually.
