So you were told to make a research poster: How to design a research poster with Adobe Photoshop

Attendees will gain an understanding of the layout of Adobe Photoshop, how to create/save a document and how to use simple design tools.

All presentations and workshops are located in the Library, across from the Information Research and Assistance Desk (IRAD).

Pause for Paws! Therapy Dogs Returning to Library

UPDATE: Original event time was 6 – 7 p.m., it is now 7 – 8 p.m.

Pause for Paws is back!

Hit pause on your workday or studies and come to the Library to hang out with these special guests! You'll have the opportunity to talk with volunteers, pet their dogs, and receive some unconditional love!

Also, have you thought about your own pet as a therapy dog? This is a great time to learn about the program from coordinators and volunteers while you are here.

Cannabis Awareness Session October 26, 2018 12:00pm -1:00pm

Sessions open to all Faculty, Staff and Students.

This cannabis awareness session will include:

1. Recreational cannabis education, prevention and harm reduction.

2. Alberta's legalization framework.

3. Information related to the pending Cannabis Policy on campus.

Library Headcounts: October 14 – 20

From Sunday, October 14 to Saturday, October 20 student assistants (you may see them with clipboards) will be performing headcounts in the Library. The counts are to determine how many people are in the Library spaces and computer resources in use during the designated count times. No other information is being collected.

POSTPONED | So you were told to use the Library: Digital Media technology available in the Library

SORRY, THIS EVENT IS POSTPONED UNTIL A LATER DATE.

 

Attendees will gain an understanding of types of digital media that they can create in the Library, as well as an introductory knowledge of the inner workings of various digital media mediums. This includes types of software that are available, common file types that are used and a basic understanding of digital media workspaces.
