IMPORTANT NOTICE - Asbestos Abatement within University Level 4 Washroom

Please be advised that on December 20, an asbestos removal will be conducted in University Hall level 4 (A4W3). Rooms will be closed for remediation and will be cleared after each room has been completed. Spaces will be inaccessible during the actual abatement and marked with signage.

Library Intersession Hours: December 20, 2022 – January 3, 2023

During the intersession period between the fall and spring semesters (December 20, 2022 – January 3, 2023), the Library's hours are as follows:

  • December 20 – 23: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • December 24 – January 2: CLOSED
  • January 3: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

NOTE: The Library’s 24-hour study space will not be available until 8 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3.

Library Hours Update: December 18 & 19

To align with the formal final exam period (December 12 to 20), the Library’s hours have been updated. The Library will now be open the additional times:

  • Sunday, December 18: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Monday, December 19: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Library’s 24-hour study space will be available throughout the exam period.

Intersession hours will begin on Tuesday, December 20.

Silent Vigil: National Day of Remembrance & Action on Violence Against Women

December 6 is the 33rd Anniversary of the l’École Polytechnique massacre and is the National Day of Remembrance & Action on Violence Against Women.

Visit the Women’s Peace Garden on level 10 south of the University Library throughout the day for a come-and-go silent vigil to remember those who have been impacted by gender-based violence. Seating will be provided for those wanting to sit in silent contemplation.

Lunch and Learn: Understanding the importance of prevention of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence at University of Lethbridge

December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. It is an important day in the history of post-secondary institutions across Canada. Knowing that education is the best form of prevention against gender-based violence (CDC, 2016), please join us in a discussion of the University of Lethbridge’s process of updating the Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Policy, the newly mandated training for students, and furthering education to prevent gender-based violence at our institutions.
